We are so excited that we got to bring Micah home last night! The test results for his infection all came back negative, which we were so relieved to hear. He did well throughout the night, but I forgot how little sleep you get when you bring a new baby home. And this is only one! Today my parents were here and stayed with Micah and Tyler for a few hours so I could go see the other boys in the NICU. Derek is 6 lbs 11 oz now (big boy!! He looks like a full term baby!), and eating really well, and I wouldn't be surprised if he were home in a week or so, too. Andrew still has a little way to go, so we're praying he picks up on the feedings. The Dr.'s say it's like a light switch goes on one day, and suddently babies just get how to bottle and suck better. We're hoping that comes soon for Andrew.
We are trying to be REALLY careful with germs as the babies come home. The doctors in the NICU are recommending that we have a "no visitors" policy for the first couple of months or so that the babies are home, and for sure while they are in this preemie stage. Any sort of a bug or infection can be so serious in their little bodies (and it's prime season for sickness), and their immune systems aren't fully developed yet, so we're being really cautious. Like I've said before, we are dying to show these little guys off, but for now our #1 priority is keeping them healthy and out of the hospital! If you want to chat with me or Evan, a phone call will have to work for now, and if you want to see the babies, I'll try to keep posting pictures!
Before we brought Micah home, we took a few pictures with Evan holding all three of them while they were still all together.

Tyler's first look at his baby brother. He got a huge smile, and has been really interested in where the "baby" is...

Sweet Baby Micah....so happy to be home, and we love snuggling him without all of those cords hooked up to him, and monitors dinging! Total NICU stay was 15 days...

Tyler with his new little brother...so sweet....

Our family is growing!! Two more to come...

We also celebrated Christmas at our house with my family yesterday. We had to get it in before all the babies started coming home!
Tyler got this huge four-wheeler, which he LOVES!
