Helpers!

Written by Jamie Gerdes

Hello! First of all I want to thank ALL of you that have helped with meals, the babies, prayers, gifts or words of encouragement! You are all amazing and Evan & Heather are so appreciative for all that’s been done, and continues to be done on their behalf.
With that being said, there is still a great need for help. Because of all the illnesses going around, some of the normal volunteers have been unable to help out, and Evan and Heather are running themselves down without the extra hands. 3 babies and a 2 year old is a LOT of work for one person, so we are trying to make arrangements for an extra person, or even 2, to be able to help Heather out during the week while Evan is working full time.
We do not want anyone to feel like they have to commit to a full day or even several hours at a time. Even just stopping in for an hour or 2 to help her with a feeding is a HUGE help!
Right now, the greatest need for help is:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday:
9 - 10 a.m. - Feeding OR 9 a.m. - noon to help with the feeding, help entertain the babies while Heather entertains Tyler, showers or does some housework.
1 - 2 p.m. - Feeding OR 1 - 5 p.m. Tyler usually naps in the afternoon, so if there is another helper around, Heather has an opportunity to rest herself, continue with housework or even get out to run a quick errand.
4 - 5 p.m. - Feeding
You are more than welcome to come in and just feed and hold babies, but if they are sleeping and content there are other things that you can help out with around the house, but DO NOT feel obligated! Evan and Heather are very welcoming and want everyone that is helping to feel at home while they are there.
If you are interested at all in helping out with a shift, please let myself or Tosha Van Zee know! We can answer further questions, and let you know of open shifts. You can reach me at 605-940-4844, or jlj14@hotmail.com. Tosha can be reached at 605-254-7714 or mtvanzee@live.com. In order to continue keeping the entire Anema family healthy, we just ask that all volunteers have a current flu shot, and that you have a healthy home!

Thank you again for all of your help! God’s blessings!
