Sick Little Baby

We're learning what it's like to have a sick baby this week, and it's not fun. Tyler started sounding a little congested around Wednesday, but by yesterday it had turned into major congestion and a bad cough. Poor little thing! This morning he woke up and sounded so congested it almost seemed like he was having trouble breathing, so we took him in to see the Dr. Our pediatrician has been telling us how bad RSV is right now, so we wanted to make sure he didn't have that. They told us he doesn't have RSV, but that he just has a nasty cold. So we just have to keep suctioning his nose out and basically let it run its course. Miserable! So please say a little prayer that Tyler gets better and that we don't have a totally miserable night tonight...

Other than that, he's been doing really good. He was 8 weeks old already on Thursday! I can't believe how he's changing. He's way more alert now than he was before, and is getting much more fun to interact with. He smiles at us (and the lights on the ceiling, and the windows, :) etc.) a lot, and overall is a pretty happy little guy. He also is starting to get stronger legs, and is going to like his little jumperoo soon. He's getting really strong!

These last couple of days, though, we mostly snuggle in the recliner together and watch the Olympics. Hopefully he'll feel more like himself again soon!

This coming week is Evan's last full week of studying before the bar exam, so it's crunch time. We're definitely feeling the pressure over here right now, and are just praying every day that he passes this test, so we can have more of a normal and balanced life! He has the whole week off of work to study, so he'll probably be living in the library most of the time. It's so hard for him to get anything done when he studies at home. My mom is coming up to help me tomorrow (Monday), and Christy and Tosha (two of my sis-in-laws who live here) have been a huge help, too!

More pictures coming soon....They're on Ev's computer, which he spends about 18 hours a day on lately!
