I'm a little late on posting this (surprise!), but the triplets started Preschool after Labor Day. They had to wait 10 days after Tyler started before they got to start, and they BEGGED every day. Especially Derek. Derek had his backpack and shoes on an hour and a half before we could go to school on the first day. He also told me he wants to bring a lunch and a silver water bottle in the side pocket of his backpack just like Tyler does. Cute. They were SO excited to go!

Also, we got a turtle. My aunt has a pond on her property and after more effort than they thought it would be, they caught us a turtle. Derek really, really wanted one. He named him Donny after Donatello, the Ninja Turtle. I had to explain to him that this turtle would not actually turn into a ninja when he got big. Bummer. He took good care of Donny and made him a home in a little pool on our deck with rocks and water. He was just a little too excited to have him. I came out onto the deck once and he was holding him by the head. He also got dropped a few times, and handled a LOT between the boys. It was stressful! He ran away the first night and we found him in the landscaping. The next night, he got away again, and we couldn't find him. Apparently turtles can run fast when they want to get away bad enough. :) Nonetheless, it was so fun for the boys when we had him. They LOVED him. But we're sure he's happier in the new pond he found now.
