Vacation (and some catch up!)

These pictures are a long time in coming!  I haven't been so great at keeping up with blogging lately.  The boys are SO incredibly busy, and let's face it....at the end of the day sometimes I just don't FEEL like doing one more thing except falling in my bed.

These are from December 2015 when sweet Tyler turned 6.  He's been growing up so much lately.  Here he is with his Avengers birthday cake from DQ.  He picked an ice cream cake (no complaints here!)

Little Andrew man.  Lately he's been wanting to sleep with ALL of his animals in his bed, so he piles them all up, and then crawls in.  He loves it.
Reading with Daddy....Derek, Micah, Tyler, Andrew
And this is what it looks like when I get home from the grocery store.  All the boys help me haul stuff in, and they put it all over the kitchen floor, then they all start unloading the bags.  It actually does help me even though it looks like mass chaos.
Micah, Andrew, and Derek at their spring preschool program.  Cute little guys.
And here is Tyler at an event his Kindergarten class put on for their mom's.  I showed up, and Tyler came and took my hand.  He was wearing a flower and a bow tie, and he took my order and served me a snack.  Then they did a program.  Seriously the sweetest thing ever.  What a little man.  :)
Andrew and Daddy mowing.  Andrew will follow Evan or I around the entire lawn while we mow.
Derek man....
Tyler...
Micah....
Tyler's Kindergarten graduation from Central Baptist.  We love everything about that school!

And here is the start of our vacation to the Black Hills.  We went with my parents over Memorial Day and had such a great time!   Coon skin hats!
We stayed at a cabin near Hill City with a stream right on the property, and  next to the Mickelson bike trail.  We all had such a great time!

Lots of hiking!
We rode the 1880 Train,,,
We got to check out Mt. Rushmore....
And we visited the begging burros on the wildlife loop.  The boys LOVED this.  A couple were a little more fearful, but we actually caught Micah giving a burro a hug at one point.
No-Fear (of anything) Micah man...
We found a gorgeous place to fish...
Three little men fishing all at the same time...lots of fun and lots of chaos.  Side note:  On this trip, Evan taught the boys how to cast their lines.  A few weeks later, we were fishing at Evan's parents house in their creek, and Micah decided to cast his line out without waiting for daddy to help him.  Evan ended up with a fishing hook IN HIS HEAD.  And it still had the worm on it, people.  I about puked.
Watching for ground hogs to come out of their hole....

Derek...
Tyler....
Derek....he loves nature and was so content just hanging out by the stream at the cabin....It was amazing to get away for a little while!
