The Anema's: 9 Months Old!

The babies are going to be 9 months old this week! In some ways it feels like we've been doing this forever, and in other ways I feel like it's been a complete crazy whirlwind that has just flown by.

Our latest adventure was our weekend journey to Platte (two hours away) to see my family. The first hour of the drive there went really well...babies were sleeping and Tyler was tired (it was morning). The last hour was not so great. First the babies woke up and were all kind of "talking" to each other in the back seat (they got new car seats, so now they can see each other if they look over. They sit three across the back, and it's the cutest thing to hear them laugh at each other!), but then the talking turned to crying, and then Tyler thought he should join in, too, with very loud talking/crying. So we're two miles away from my parents house, counting down the seconds until we can escape from the van, and suddenly our van stops working. Stalled. On the side of the road. With four screaming kids. So...we got out, and let Tyler out, and unbuckled the babies and hung out on the side of the road until my parents came. Thank goodness the weather was nice, and we were so close to Platte. That could've been a major disaster. And thank goodness also that my parents let us use their van this week while ours is in Platte getting fixed. We transferred all four car seats and all of our stuff over to my parents van, and we were back in business. Our life is always a circus! :)

Other news: Micah is so close to crawling...he gets up on all fours and goes a little bit, but can't get too far yet. Derek is continuing to amaze us. He crawls all over, pulls himself up to stand in his bed, next to the couch, etc. He also goes up steps. Today he went up our full flight of steps (14 of them!). I was behind him, but didn't touch him the whole way up. He's so strong!

The babies are interacting more and more, which is such a riot! They laugh at each other a lot, and jabber all together. It's getting more fun every day!

Fun in the walkers....Tyler also gets into a walker often when the babies are flying around in them. He thinks its so fun to cruise around in them, and the babies think it's hilarious! (Tyler and Andrew)

Tyler can be a really nice big brother when he feels like it. Here he thought it was really funny that Andrew wanted to play with his hair. They were both cracking up!

Andrew and Derek have both started holding their own bottles. Micah definitely could do it, but he still likes us to hold it for him. Micah loves food so much....I think he enjoys his bottle more when he can just lay there and drink it. :)
Sweet little Andrew baby....

Here's what we do every day. We put a sand box out on our deck, and Tyler plays in there all the time, and the babies run around in their walkers out by him.

This day we made a "deck fort" that the babies couldn't get into with their walkers b/c Tyler was sick of them chasing him. I don't blame him. Having three little people chasing after you all day long might get a little old. Sometimes a guy just needs a deck fort!

Praise Baby DVD's could be the best baby product ever. This is what happens when we turn on the DVD. All four boys love it! The babies go into this trance for a few minutes, and Tyler still really likes to watch it to. It's great when I am trying to get dinner ready or just need a few minutes of peace!

Tyler babes. The most fun thing to do right now is cruise around on his little ride on toys. He's obsessed with trains right now, so we are either drawing trains with side walk chalk, or making train noises, or pretending we are riding in a train. I love having little boys!!

Meanwhile, Derek claps for everything (when his brothers fight, when his brothers cry, when daddy comes home, when mommy walks into the room, when something is funny...). Hilarious!
