Ears

I think Tyler inherited his daddy's infection prone ears. He had an ear infection about a month ago, so we went on 10 days of antibiotics. The antibiotics didn't clear him up, so we went on another round of them. We just went in to get them checked again yesterday, and it STILL wasn't cleared up! So now he is on shots of antibiotics for 3 days, and we have an appointment with the Ear/Nose/Throat specialist tomorrow to talk about putting tubes in. No wonder the poor little guy hasn't slept through the night in a month.... I almost hope they just tell us to do the tubes now before he gets yet another infection. It would kind of be a relief to just have them in.

Kayla (Evan's younger sister) finished her class this morning, so her last day staying with us was today. We'll miss her being around here and Tyler especially will miss her! It was so nice to have her around to play with him, take walks with at night, etc. It was so fun having another roomie! :) Kayla is going to Ghana for the rest of the summer....we'll be praying for a safe trip and an amazing experience, Kayla!

Even though Tyler had an infection, he still has been a happy guy...

Tyler LOVES "walking" right now. It's the thing that makes him the happiest...

He's also into holding his own bottle right now, too...

My good friends from grade school Kara and Laurel stopped by yesterday. Laurel lives in Sioux Falls, and Kara and her hubby live in California. They were on their way to the airport. Kara had her little Leeland just 2 months after Tyler was born, and Laurel has little 2 year old Owen and 4 week old Gracie.

Here are Tyler and Leeland. Tyler was very interested in Leeland. He wanted to look at him and touch him all the time. He actually tried to suck on Leeland's hand for awhile... :)
