Final Summer Days

A few recent pictures:

The babies all love to "brush" their teeth lately.  Good thing we have three bathroom sinks upstairs, or it would always be a fight!  Here's Derek in our main bathroom....
And Andrew and Micah making a disaster in our master bath.  :)
Give Tyler a cheap mop and a bucket of water and he's happy for over an hour!  And...the deck gets mopped!  Not sure if it was cleaner before or after....
Derek is our little artist!  He will sit for a long time and color pictures, put stickers on, etc.  Look how intense he is doing this.  It's the sweetest thing!  Andrew and Micah will sit for about 3 min, then they rip their picture off the table (I tape them down), and throw all their crayons on the floor, or color on the table.
Snack time on our patio with one of favorite neighbor friends!
Look at all the help I have doing the dishes!  Is there anything more fun than playing with water?  :)
(D, M, A)
One of the boys' favorite things to do is run through our sprinkler on hot days.  Andrew is for sure the bravest, and just goes straight for it!  Here he is...soaked!  I started letting them just run through in diapers b/c they always tried to take their swimming trunks off anyway.  ha!  Again, sorry to the neighbors!
 Derek...thinking about it.
 Andrew, Tyler, Micah...

This is after we came in the house.  We had painters scraping the outside, and the boys were loving it! They stared out the window all afternoon!
Tyler's first day of pre-preschool!  He goes to a really great program at a nearby church.  I was really worried about dropping him off and leaving him b/c he had been telling me for the few weeks before that he didn't want to go and that he was going to cry when he got there (he decides if he's going to throw a fit before he goes, yes).  The first few times he cried, but now he runs to the door and he can't wait to get in there.  This is such a blessing, and feels like something is getting "easy" for us!  :)
This picture just makes me laugh.  As you can see, the boys are all sitting and holding travel coffee mugs.  They see me do this every morning, so now when I get my mug, they all beg for "poppee" (coffee).  Like all three hang on my leg with these totally sad faces saying "poppeeeee, poppeeeee, poppeeeee!!!!" until I give them a mug so they can pretend to drink too.  FUNNY!  Micah is for sure the one who loves doing it the most.  Any time he sees any type of mug, even a plastic play one, he runs over to me and says, "poppee!" and we pretend to drink.

 Cutie pie Derek!
Breakfast at our house.  The boys are getting so vocal in what they want now!  They usually ask for waffles in the morning, and if they want more, they say, "mo, mo, mo" until I bring them more.  While doing this, they usually hold up their plates and let the syrup drip off onto the table, into their hair, onto the floor, etc.  That's part of the fun, of course!
Art time!  I got brave and let everyone paint the other day, and it was so much fun!  The boys loved it!
Micah is the messiest, drooliest, snottiest kid ever!  As you can see, he tried eating the paint.  He tries to eat most everything (i.e. remember the apples that we used for photo props?).  It's worth a try, people!  He's the cutest, chunkiest little guy ever.  He's been cracking us up lately, b/c if we ask him to say something, he'll say it in a really low, growly voice, and try to act all scary with this big smirk on his face.  What a little lover!
 Ni-night!  Pretend sleeping on the couch.  A, D, M
This is often times what our neighborhood looks like in the summer.  We have tons of neighbor kids around, which is so much fun!  We were getting ready to go on a walk, and then got some visitors! :)
Meet Naomi.  She's the newest addition to our neighborhood.  Her amazing parents who live in our backyard just adopted her from Congo.  We are loving getting to know her!
Okay.  We have an ice cream truck that drives around our neighborhood and plays music.  I love this as much as the kids in the neighborhood do!  It's always so exciting for everyone when you hear the music playing.  Everyone runs inside to get their money, and then we all congregate around the truck.  Tyler thinks this is a HUGE deal (and it is).  :)

Just lounging in our chairs....Micah, Andrew, Derek.  My little honey's!
