We really did lose our marbles this week. That's not just a figure of speech. Tyler decided to make an enormous pile of toys, diggers, games, books, puppies, you name it, on the downstairs living room floor. Just because it was fun. See pile here:
What he didn't tell us was that he also dumped his Hungry Hungry Hippos game upside down on this pile, and all of the little red "looks just like a gumball" marbles went all over the living room floor. It wasn't until Evan found 5 marbles in Andrew's mouth that we completely freaked out and figured out that underneath Tyler's pile there had to be more marbles. I was out of town for Evan's sister's bridal shower when I got the frantic call from Evan. He searched all day and found all but 3 marbles, and when I got home, I searched some more and found 2 more. We are still missing a marble, people. Let's just hope no babies find it before we do. YIKES! No more Hungry Hungry Hippos. And no more making piles. And no more eating marbles! Seriously, boys!
The babies had their 15 month check up last week, and once again we are just overwhelmed with blessings. All the boys are actually BIG for their age. Micah is 60% for height and 90% (26 lbs, 7 oz) for weight (don't worry, buddy....it'll even out eventually!). Derek is 78% for height and 88% (26 lbs, 3 oz)for weight, and Andrew is 85% for height and 77% (24 lbs 14 oz) for weight. Every time we go in, I just get this overwhelming feeling of gratefulness for having such healthy boys. It's so amazing to me that these guys started out in the 4 lb range as little preemie babies, and now they are running around and growing so big, and staying so healthy! We are so blessed!
Andrew, Derek, and Micah banging on pots in their high chairs. This is FUN, and super loud (like usual!).
Derek finally got his tubes put in about two and a half weeks ago, and it has been the best thing we've done for him! His ears drained with gross fluid for about 4 days, and you can tell he feels SO much better now! It's so great! This doesn't mean that he never wakes up at night....b/c he still does at least once a night, but now we at least know he's just a stinker and that it's not from being in pain. :)
Micah also has had an ear infection since some time in January. We're on our second round of antibiotics, but if this doesn't clear it up, we'll likely be getting tubes for him, too.
Andrew has not had one ear infection. He's honestly been the healthiest baby ever. He's never been to the Dr. except for his well baby checks. He's had one runny nose his entire life. I had always heard that the littlest multiple does the best b/c they have to be such a fighter in the womb, so maybe that's really true! They've all been so healthy, but he has been exceptionally healthy!
Here's little Andrew. Yes, fluffy hair is in at our house. :)
Derek is in to putting one Kix, pea, bean, etc. on top of his head and then he waits til I see it, and then cracks up laughing! He has such a funny sense of humor for a baby...like he plays jokes on me already almost! Sometimes if I'm sitting on the floor he'll walk up really quietly behind me and stand there with a huge smile on his face until I turn around and act like he scared me. Then he laughs so hard he falls over. He's hilarious!
My big babies drinking their bottles. They are always touching when they lay next to each other like this. Either their hands are on each other, or someone's feet are on the other ones legs or stomach or head. Really nothing is off limits. :) Derek, Andrew, Micah.
Andrew...The guys thought this was hilarious: I put my fuzzy socks on one of them, and then the other two wanted them on, too. Good thing I have 3 pairs! They ran around giggling like this for close to an hour! A, D, M
This is how it goes when we try to get everyone in a picture.
Funny little Derek!
And....here's the big reveal for our laundry room! It's finally all done, and we LOVE it! The space is small, but at least now it's so functional! Evan built me this great washer dryer stand that my baskets can go underneath (seriously...is there anything that man CAN'T do?!).
Here's my pinterest project: I mounted pictures of the boys on canvases.
And our lockers! We LOVE these already!
