A Very Merry Christmas

We are so blessed....we had an amazing Christmas with our boys.  It was the first year that it was really fun for Tyler (he LOVED opening gifts!), and the babies were so much fun, too.  They mostly loved the boxes and paper, but they got so wild when we opened gifts!  We can't help but think about last Christmas.  We hurried to have Christmas with my family a few days early before all the babies were home from the NICU.  Micah had come home already, and Derek came 5 days later, and Andrew came 5 days after Derek.  We were just starting such a whirlwind of a year, and it's so good to be at this point!

Derek LOVES the dishwasher....every time he hears me open it, he comes running.  :)

And the other guys, do, too.  Here's what I walked in to the other day after I had stepped out of the kitchen for like 30 seconds.  Notice the dirty bowl hanging out of Micah's mouth.  ha ha!
We brought snow inside!  It kept Tyler busy for a whole afternoon....
Same goes for the fridge....every time it's open, I have to block it or otherwise there is 3 babies in there within about 10 seconds.  A, M, D
Grandma Carol with Andrew at the Anema Christmas...
My beautiful sis in law, Kayla (with Micah) and her fiance Luke.  They just BOTH got accepted to medical school in Denver.  Unreal!  We're so proud of them, and can't wait for the wedding in June!  All of the boys are going to be in it.  Can you say "CHAOS?"  So fun, though!
Derek and Andrew in the boxes....
We are re-doing our entry way.  It is so tiny, and we have our washer and dryer in there, and needed a better place to put coats, shoes, boots, etc.   Evan and his dad (who builds homes NW Iowa) are tearing out two closets, putting in a pocket door, and then installing a locker system for us.  Evan is doing a lot of it on his own!  Another reason I'm impressed with him!  :)   It's a disaster right now, and the babies are of course SO interested in the mess, but we're really excited for it to be done!
I love this one.  This is our first attempt at a family dinner.  Here are all the babies cracking up while Tyler makes crazy noises while they wait for their food. Can you imagine how hilarious our meals are going to be (and exhausting?)?!
My mom got the stomach flu on Christmas day, and my dad got it the day after, so our holiday plans were changed a little bit.   We stayed home a couple extra days and played in laundry baskets instead.
My mom with Tyler and Ethan.
My other gorgeous sis in law, Tosha, and our new little nephew Braden.  He's such a little honey!
The whole Van Zee clan....Back row L to R:  Derek, Evan, my younger brother Eric holding Andrew, Ethan (Matt's son), my older brother Matt.  Front row L to R:  Micah, Me, My Dad, Tyler, Mom, Spike, Tosha (Matt's wife), their baby Braden.
All of the babies got little cars to drive around in.  Good thing we have a 3 stall garage for all their stuff!  They're going to have so much fun with them in the summer!  Here's Tyler and Andrew "helping" daddy put them together.
Mom reading to Ethan and Tyler.  Precious.
Unfortunately most days are a bad hair day for Andrew.
Tyler and Ethan checking out the Christmas decorations at mom's house.
Three babies trying to get in one car at the same time.  Again....CHAOS.  ha ha!
Derek and Micah cruising....How adorable is this?
Andrew...he only goes backwards, so we have to start him at one end of the hall way and let him back himself up to the other end.  Then he screams, and we roll him forward again to start it all over.
Mom and Tyler baking....me and the boys stayed at their house for about 5 days while Evan went back to work.  It was such a nice break to have some help!
Three little boys with their guilty faces on.  They're playing with the central vacuum plug in.  They heard "no, no, no" a lot that week.  I grabbed the camera and said, "What are you guys doing?" And this was the response I got.  A, D, M
Tyler loves to shovel snow outside and begged to do it all the time at my parents.  He is shoveling here and all the babies wanted to watch him.  A, D, M (just sturdying himself with Derek's head).  :)
Watching Praise Baby.  It's like a tranquilizer.  We put it on while we are trying to eat supper, usually.  D, M, A
Merry Christmas!!!!  M, A, T, D

We were sweating....as we usually are when we try to get a picture of all three or four of them.
